Music

Welcome to K&R Bagpiping Enterprises.  We are a Maine based company providing a wide range of traditional Scottish bagpipe music for any occasion.  Whether you are looking for a single piper or a whole band, we will work with you to ensure complete satisfaction.

In 2008 we coordinated and played bagpipe music for 20 public safety funerals including the Line of Duty Death for Firefighter Mike Snowman of Hartland Fire Department. We continue to provide this service free of charge. We only ask a donation to cover fuel expenses. We are public safety pipers who believe in the tradition and honor of  our profession.

We mourn the untimely death of Sergeant  Richard Betters of the Portland Police Department, who passed away from natural causes on January 14, 2009. He leaves behind a wife and 2 daughters.

We also mourn the loss of Deb Cole, a sister firefighter, and mother of two daughters. Deb suffered a stroke  while on duty June 10, 2009 and died at Maine Medical Center on June 11th. She was buried with honors on June 16th. Deb's untimely passing will leave a hole in our hearts and our department which will be hard to fill.

In August 2008, Rob Simmons was appointed as the Funeral Honors Coordinator for the L.A.S.T. team for the State of Maine.

In April 2009, Rob was awarded the Governors Exemplary Service Award for continuing service in planning public safety funerals
